Haven’t updated my blog for quite a few days…. been flitting around other websites these mornings…. and don’t have other times to come online as much as I use to… *sigh* More or less in hibernation mode too~

It’s quite amazing just how wide-spread the Harry Potter phenomena has become…. I have been following it’s story since January 2001 (arigato~ Yamamoto Sensei~!!) To think I’ve been introduced to this series in Japan by a Japanese teacher shows how ‘international’ these books have become. I remember walking in the corridors of the school clutching the book and being spotted by some of the jap friends there who exclaimed "Ehhhh~!!! HA-RI Po-ta~! Micheru-san, korewa Ha-ri po-ta desuka~!?!" This happened enough times for me to sit up and realize that there must have been something in those books to be able to capture such avid fascination (and VERY loud exclamations) of Japanese teachers and students alike…..

Not long after that, I found myself in MMU, and the news of the Harry Potter film coming up at the end of the year. To be very frank, I was rather dissapointed at the movie…. and was completely hooked by Lord of the Rings~! Hahahhaa….. Ask my room mates… they had to sit through many many hours of me ranting about ‘that fantastic movie’…..~ Even up till now…..

But the HP movies have gotten progressively better (in my humble opinion~) and the books alarmingly thicker….. I’m actually very much looking forward to watching ‘Goblet of fire’ which is coming…. end of this year? (VERY nice feature poster too~! Anyone know where I can get my hands on one of those?)

Anyway, I bought my ‘half blood prince’ during my trip to Melaka during the begining of this month. I took the paper cover off (hardcover edition… the cover was getting squished~) just leaving the black core without any pictures…. Leo remarked about it looking like a bible~ it being so thick and ….. black……~ I was reading it on the flight home (3 hours of sitting in the plane without anything to do is enough to drive me up the wall) and this air-steward came walking past selling food and drinks (Air asia….) and asked me if I needed anything…. I said no (wasn’t really paying attention… was fully engrossed in the new book) so imagine my surprise when I recieved a teasing reply… "Harry Potter much more interesting than food I suppose~!" I looked up and saw that he was grinning at me…. I must have had a ‘deer caught in the headlights’ expression coz he laughed as well~! ~blush~ *groan* I did NOT expect anyone to recognise that book without the cover~ Hahahha…. Apparently, he must have been quite the fan and had already read the book coz during the last hour of the journey, he passed by again and offered to tell me the ending of it~!!!

And again, I said no… (actually, what I said was "HELL NO!! NO Thank you~!!) thus recieved another laugh and teasing grin while he walked away……

This being the most recent occurance, was NOT the only one….. nearly the same thing happened with book 4 a few years back. I remember sitting in Burger King eating some fries and reading HP4 at Kota Kinabalu airport while waiting for my transit flight back to Tawau when a waiter there walked past cleaning the tables asked me if I wanted to know the ending of that book… hahaha…. what is it with people and HP endings~!!!

Well, now I’ll be waiting for the last book to come out. And I’m sure many out there feel the same way too……~

*sigh* more applications to make….. *sigh* postgrad…. *sigh* more forms *sigh* more stuff to sort out…. *sigh* what a pain in the …..~

Anyway, now getting my stuff straight, and will contact the photo part time thingy I had asked for (and see if they’ll still want me… hahaha… after so long~!! hahahah) Well… one can only hope~!

Speaking of my room, here’s a photo featuring that~! hahaha…. It’s a near 180 degree view of it in a good day (i.e, not so messy day~!!) This graduation stuff is just right below my stereo~ I sleep surrounded by books, and my LOTR collection is next to my Gon~ Hahahhaa…… My latest sketch book on the wooden trunk at the foot of my bed, with multiple stuffed cutesie dolls strewn about on the floor…… I know I know, I don’t look like someone who likes dolls, but hey~ they’re cute~! And some weird….. cute and weird…. hmm…

I also want to say thanks to these 2 ‘38 po’ for sending my to KLIA on the haziest day in KL (thursday, so I heard, was the worst) We managed to balance my camera on top of Peiwan’s kancil and the result of that is this particular photo~

Ah well….. 3 photos in 1 day~! makes up for the previous ‘missing links’ eh~? I hope~! hahahaha……. For those who are sick and tired of the email notifications, SORRY~ I’m BACK~! *grin*

Took photos of the gifts but haven’t uploaded the photos into my computer yet~ hehehehe….. been busy trying to fit in the kenshin ova (rememberance) part 1 and 2 into the palm I’ve been totting around and using these few months. Somehow lots and lots of problems kept popping up. Leo, you said the pc backup software will shrink the size of the movie????? No it didn’t~! stayed the same~!! I even shrunk the size of the movie first THEN tried to upload it….. but still stuck somehow…… will try again tonight~

Postponed the feature on the graduation gifts from friends till the next blog update….. hehehehe…… I’m sure lots of you out there are very relieved to have the brief respite from my incessant updates and email notifications~! hahah…. I never really realised how many friends from MMU are reading these ramblings of mine…. (or at least giving it a glance….~ Hi Shervie~!!! How’s the haze in singapore? *waves*) Anyone who knows how to turn off the notifications, please tell me so that I won’t bother all you innocent people out there? (Tho I was told that it depends on the individual recipients who chooses to either recieve the notifications or not…. so…. ~!?)

Anyway, miss you guys la~!! Oh, can anyone tell me how to join in the MMU alumni? I totally ignored the briefing on friday~! hahahaha….was too busy catching up with friends~!!! (*like the other 99% of the hall~!*)

yay~ back at last…. with the convocation ceremony behind me now~ glad to have THAT over and done with, plus all the problems related, but very sad to know that it’ll be a while yet before I’ll have any excuse to go to KL and visit the friends over there.

A bit about the convo day I suppose? Well, I’m a bit miffed that we had to have it in Melaka, hundreds of miles away from the Cyberjaya campus (where I’ve studied for 4 years) Makes it seem rather pointless somehow… that not being the uni we now know so well. Almost like having a convo at someone else’s uni. THAT really feels like a bucket of cold water straight on the face on a supposedly happy occasion. ~sigh~ The ceremony itself was held at the Dewan Sri Negeri, but had to go to MMU Melaka on several occasions. I refused to take many photos at MMU melaka since I felt that it doesn’t have the same meaning as having the photos taken at MMU cyber~ Hey~ call me sentimental, but that’s how I felt (think my dad was a bit miffed by that notion though~)

Anyway, got a bit sunburnt after the ceremony, running around taking photos with friends and totally neglecting to find some shade to hide under. Dying of heat in that thick robe too~!! Recieved several gifts from close friends (and belated birthday pressies~!!!! Meor~! ChingChing~!! *Muaks*~! Thank you so much~!!!) Will feature said gifts in later blogs….. (maybe~)

After that, spent some time (a few days) catching up with friends in KL (thanks naomi~!! for running around KL with me~!! and peiwan for shuttling me around~!!) Just one little snag during the whole trip, that DAMN haze~!!!

Going off to KL then to melaka tomorrow~! yay~ the convo has arrived at last~

Taking the morning flight to KLIA tomorrow morning, then rent a car and drive down to melaka for the next 3 days before going back to KL and have some fun for another 4 days….. lots of stuff to buy~!! specially the dvds…. lots to catch up on~ and lots of friends to find and visit~! *yay*

Well, hope everything goes as planned. No unwanted surprises and all that….

since I’m still in the mood for this, might as well scrounge up more of my old sketches to put up here…. Here’s the one and only sketch I did on EVA (… wait.. I think I have another one somewhere….) Not a particularly spectacular main character for an animation, but hey… he looks cute like this~ Hehehehehe…. (I know quite a number of people who would be really shocked to hear me say this, but it’s true) Not one of my fav. characters, but he’s interesting to draw….. maybe this is from an AU where he doesn’t die in the end ( DID he die? Anyone know for sure?) and grows up? Hmmm… This reminds me…. I don’t have any Trigun sketches……… ~~~
