~Another day in an insane mind~

In KL at the moment! Well… not KL per-se… more like at Serdang. Staying at Peiwan’s place (a friend from uni) Having steamboat tonight… just a few tight friends get togather. It’s been a while, will be fun~! Yay!

Been doing shopping these few days. Bought quite a number of stuff…. I’m getting broke. Need to stock up my wardrobe for my upcoming studies at the UK. Think I’ll be going to Newcastle. Seems to me that’s the only place I can go now after waiting for so long. The others are either still pending, or need a heck of a lot of verifications or whathaveyous that I don’t have the patience to complete. Since that I DO have the unconditional offer from newcastle (THAT in itself has been quite a feat~!) I’ll probably stick to the place, even though I have a nagging feeling the place is going to be real cold~ Brrrr~ At least I can easily pop over to edinburgh for a weekend just for giggles…. that is, if I can get a part time job to support all my wannabe ventures.

Hehehe… It’s been a while since I’ve posted here…. I’m now managing another blog for LOTR stuff. So I’ll probably be dividing my time between these 2…. Nothing much to update so far….

Anyway, will be going over to KL on the 26th this month, and coming back on the 4th next month. So those of you who are in KL~!!!! I’d love to meet up!

Another thing is, my UK applications seems to have gone through. Best responce so far is from Newcastle… that’s about 90% done….. but NOT counting my chickens yet this time… *sigh* My first choice would be Sheffield… No idea why, but just have this real good feeling about the place. Newcastle’s not bad either, but will give sheffield a few more days.

Meeting up with someone from British Council later on to verify my documents for the applications… There’s another story in itself which I won’t bother to elaborate. *groans*

Anyhow, seems like I’m finally getting somewhere with my masters applications!!

FINALLY!!!!

I have been driven batshit crazy for the past week or so… A cricket has somehow found its way to the attic above my room and made itself right at home there. I have nothing against bugs in general, but this damn thing creaks every damn night from dusk till dawn!!! Thus rendering my sleep virtually unattainable!!! Good god~ I usually have no problem in ignoring irritating sounds like that, but for some parculiar reason this high pitched squeaking has been driving me up the wall!!

I attempted to wait for it to die a natural death, believing that insects usually have a short life span…. but after one week I have had enough. I tunneled a tiny little hole into the roof (we don’t have an attic entrance, for whatever reason it was for the original architect to ommit that…) and using a can of insectacide and a plastic straw, managed to direct the spray straight into the attic.

Blessed silence….

That night I slept well and well indeed. No more constant irritating grating amplified high pitched creaks coming from right above me while I rested….. So I thought it to be dead….

And how wrong was I…………

It was back with a vengance the following night….. and I sprayed some more… and was silent yet again….

And the following night… the same bloody thing happened….

And yet again…

And again….

And again……

And again………

…………………….

This is the 6th night after the first intial night of silence…. and it seems to me that thrice damned thing has yet to die! But lucky for me (and Thank God) I can get some blessed silence when every time it starts to make a rucus I can spray some of the really really really poisonous insectacide up into the attic to shut it up at least for the night….. I just don’t want to know when it’ll probably get immuned to the damn stuff…..

It’s still an ongoing problem… but at least I can get to sleep now.

I really hope the silence can and will last….

Cross your fingers for me folks…

Either that or send me another can of Ridsect….
