~Another day in an insane mind~

YAY~! Done at last! Over….. The monkey is off my shoulder at lasssssssssssst!

The lecturers seemed to like my presentation, says its good and all that…. but heard that they say that to every one as well…. So I wonder…
Anyway, good comments, no negative ones, just some suggestions. One comment I found really funny was that I was told that I sound Australian! *grins* (thats the country I presented about….)

*resists urge to dance*

Will go out for drinks at 4 (or earlier)… Will now concentrate on sending good thoughts to friends who are presenting!

My BIG presentation is at 2 today afternoon…… Managed to get things done and practiced several times before 4 last night… Slept around 5am, thinking "brilliant….. I’ll have 7 hours to sleep…. Wake up at 12 and still have 2 hours to get stuff done."

Unfortunately, I’ve been running on 1-2 hour naps for the past week or so…. Seems like my body got used to the routine!!!! *mutters grumbles* Woke up at 6.30am…. Tossed and turned to get back to sleep… And THEN woke up at 8~!!!!!!

Damnit… I want a full day’s sleep!!

Lay there desperately counting sheep or whatever I could think of for 40 minutes…. So now I give up…. *sigh*

Damnit~!!!

On the UP note~! The whole bunch of us are going to watch 300 tonight~!!! *cheers* Celebration for getting this 40% of our dissertation out of our way (and keeping fingers crossed for a good grade).

I’m guessing many of us will be pretty sloshed tonight~!! *grins*

Real life has been hectic…. *head desk* Hence, my dissapearance from the blogging world for quite some time. Had a group presenation last Tuesday that went pretty well, and another one coming up Next tuesday…. THAT one will be a wringer… It’s 40% of my Masters Dissertation… so no mucking about on that! Been working on it flat out like a lizard drinking….

Had a kangaroo loose on the top paddock trying to get my head around all the information and shifting and searching and structuring…. It’s a wonder I haven’t been running around like a gum tree full of Galah… Can’t wait to hit the turps and get this place going off that night!

Sorry about the abuse of OZ slang… (Ozzies, Don’t kill me please… I’m NOT trying to be a wisearse… at least, not trying VERY hard to be a wisearse) In case you’re wondering…. my presentation for next Tuesday will be Australia, and the communicative behaviours of the individual…. so… quite happily I chose to do swearing and slang… *grins*

Went on a brilliant trip up north to Berwick on Tweed. A friend lives up at the borders of Scotland, so she drove a friend and I around for the day. Went to Lindisfarne, otherwise known as Holy Island. Had to pay close attention to the time, since the tide comes up and covers the road most of the time during this end of the year. Didn’t want to be stranded on the island for the night~! *grins*

Also went around the town of Berwick on Tweed itself. Very pretty little place, nice and quiet. Lots of pensioners ambling around, would have even more during the summer!

Had a late lunch of Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties. *grins* Do what the scots do in scotland, I guess~

Arrived back home after 11pm. Dead tired, but actually went to bed at 5 in the morning, as usual. Woke up at 4 in the afternoon today!! Good thing I didn’t have classes or meetings today~ I would have been useless…… Walked a LOT yesterday. Bone tired….. Am still rather spaced out right now, which isn’t too good…. since I need to start work on the presentation due soon….. *worried*

But all in all a brilliant trip!~!!!!
