~Another day in an insane mind~

The pot luck went really well… we all had fun (I hope…) and ate really well…. Everyone brought something very nice… got to try many types of dishes from different nationalities…. that’s always fun~ *grins* So thank you all for putting in the time and effort~!

As the night progressed we shifted from I-ching’s (girl in red) kitchen, to the common room very near my room (as seen in this photo)…. Had dessert here, and ended with a party game (which as all my friends from back home know there is NO chance in HELL I joined…. *smirk*) and me running to and from my room trying to multitask….. *headdesk*

Anyway…. everything ended at around 11 or 12 at night… (and I missed the 9am class this morning….. *headdesk again*

Now…. Assignments galore… Oh joy oh wonder… *rolls eyes*

Assignments are pouring in… Reaching another make-it-or-break-it moment in MA life… probably won’t be around much until early June….

*sighs again*

On a high point, a dinner/get-togather thingy will be on tonight. A bunch of friends all contributing some food or other. I’ve made Rendan, a type of Malaysian curry. Wonder if it’ll burn the taste buds off some of my friend’s tongue? I don’t think I’ve put THAT much chili powder in it….. hmm… then again, most of the girls are American, or European…… Hmmmm……….

Can’t wait for these final few weeks to be over…. Then it’ll just the Country File3 (the final part of my dissertation) left to be done in the Summer.

Oh, on that… I remember posting about my CF2 (presentation about Australia) sometime around mid April? I’ve have my marks back now~ 84%!!!!!!! *squeeeeeeeeeeeees* I could NOT believe it…. 70% and above is distinction. I was really really really shocked! Was shocked for a long time…. still can’t quite believe it even now…..

I sorta… blew the first CF (on malaysia, where I come from… *sighs*) Just short of a passing mark~! *headdesk* That’s 20% of my dissertation…. Now with this 84% (that’s 40% of my dissertation) more than makes up for the previous blow! The 2 combined marks give me 42.6% (out of 60%) of my dissertation….. Hence, All I need is a 10% to pass….!! Though hopefully, I’d be able to get more than that~! *keeps fingers crossed**touch wood**spits across the shoulders*

Before that, need to focus on these other assignments…… *head desk repeatedly* No use wondering about the dissertation if I manages to fail any of the other subjects….

Had a lovely lovely relaxing week~ *zones out*

Tomorrow is going
to be busy though…. going out to scout some houses with my cousin….
then going to have my hair cut~ *cheers* Lunch, and more houses,
finishing it with a visit to another cousin’s place~ Am looking
forwards to it~

Been re-reading HP HBP just to freshen up my
memory of what happened in book 6 while I wait till July for the final
book to come out….. Finally going to finish up the mystery of what is
going to happen to Harry… hmmm…..

Am lounging around in my cousin’s place right now. Easter is almost over, yet I still have almost 2 weeks left to lounge around before I have to go back to Newcastle, and work… and assignments… and sleeplessness…. and headaches….. and worries….

Went to Leeds, Sheffield on Mon and Wed respectively. Will be going to London in…. 2 and a half hours time~!! *cheers*

Will be there for 2 weeks…. Ahhh… laze around… and NOT think about work~!!! That’s the life… *squishes Em for letting me stay at her place*

Went to Leeds today~ Damn tired right now… My feet are killing me… Not impressed with the city itself, since it looks just like another generic city in the UK…. but the Royal Armouries Museum was fantastic!

I bought an Excalibur replica there…. well… mini version… one of the letter openers to add to my collection of knives and swords and other knickknacks… It’s of quite good quality, I must say. Really disapointed that we missed the Tudor Riding re-enactment show they have every Monday. There were jousting, knights fighting, showing off their riding, archery skills and aim with swords…. Ladies all dressed up in bright colours and odd shaped hats~ *sniff* Were 5 minutes too late to go out into the field area and they locked the gates….. *pouts*

Can’t say much about the scenery in Leeds… so not a lot of photos taken there…. *sigh* Everything closes at around 6…. even cafes and stuff… so spent the last 3 hours (9.10pm train back to Newcastle) trying to figure out what to do… ended up relocating from one cafe to another and finally ended up in a pub that’s opened till 11… *sigh*
