~Another day in an insane mind~

I woke up on saturday, went out of my room and saw a piece of post-it note on a long piece string dangling/stuck on my door, with "I am the keeper of Denty’s Golden Nuggets" written on it….

.

As expected, that garnered a few !??!??!??!s from me, in which I expressed by penning a few question and exclamation marks on the other side of said post-it, stuck it back on Em’s (cousin and only person who lives here and might do odd things that other members of the household would not question… much….) door, then promtly forgot about it and happily went on doing stuff….

.

It was until Sunday evening, when Em and Chris (otherwise known as Denty from the post-it mentioned at the above) came back from up North and asked "Did you find it???", did I know that it was actually the first clue to a treasure hunt that Em setted up to ‘entertain’ me when they were gone….

.

After much giggling and teasing (and more giggling when they saw my reply on said dangly post-it now stuck on Em’s door), fortified with a nice mug of tea, I started to ‘hunt’.

.

A few false turns and being ’slightly’ distracted by a Sakura scented note ( LONG story… don’t ask….. >_<) later, it all ended in the fusebox in the hallway.

.

Tucked snugly in there with the final piece of post-it, is a little bottle of Jasmine oil~

Remy staring in awe at the first big snowfall … on Easter no less!!!

Followed by Remy clambering on top of  eggs…..

*sighs* Dagnamit…

Just recieved an email saying that I wasn’t picked for the post I really wanted (a researcher in a medical publication company)…..

*sniffle* Worse, when they told me that they actually really really liked me, and I was more than qualified and well suited for the company…. Only problem is that they wanted someone that could work for longer than 1 year (my visa is valid for a year) and they can’t sponsor me for further visa applications….

*sighs*

Back to more job hunting~

Happiness is a nice little teapot filled with tea, a packet of pocky bikkies, and a phone call from a recruitment agency~!!!

Damnit, I can’t believe I forgot to post the finished felt fox photo! (hey! tongue twister!)

Well… here it is….

After many distressed messages from friends about my previous post of the half finished fox, it would be wrong of me to neglect doing so when I DO remember!

As they say… memory is first to go!

Went to the British Museum on Thursday, hoping to be able to see the terracotta army expo that’s been going on for the past few months….

.

Happily took the trains over to the city, and was among one of the many others who, I guess, had the same intention…. While walking through the main door amidst the sea of people, I went past 2 guys (British, maybe?) who saw me and suddenly stopped, bowed at me, said "konichiwa~!!" (FYI, that’s good afternoon in Japanese) and then walked off.

I stood there and gaped….

.

.

Unfortunately upon arriving at the ticket booths, we found that the tickets were sold out for the day and needed advanced booking! No online tickets were sold anymore either…..

.

It’s a good thing we had a plan B…. just spend some time wandering around the Museum proper and then go shopping~ *grins*

.

We went to the Japanese section, then to the Egyptian wing, and the European….

.

When our stomachs started grumbling, we attempted to find our way out towards the hotdog stand located right OUTSIDE the museum…. after several wrong turns, dead ends, unsure puttering and more stomach growling later….

.

Bliss~!

.

Scoffing down the hot dog with mustard, we went browsing in shops, had starbucks coffee (ice caramel machiatto for me~) and a blueberry cheesecake in a bookshop, and headed off home just in time to beat the traffic….

.

And the perfect ending for this day….

We watched Night at the Museum during dinner~

Since I can’t afford to go to Japan for hanami, I’ll make due with what we have here in the UK, right in front of my aunt’s house!

.

Quite a lot of flowers are blooming right now, even though the weather is still spiking in between winter and spring these days. Yesterday was a light jacket day…. went out in just a jumper and sports jacket, and yet today I was in full winter gear and was STILL shivering!

.

Saw it snow this year (at last!!!!) both yesterday and today…. quite surreal to be in a light jacket (yesterday) and have snow fall on you…. even more surreal to be digging up the turf in the garden (this afternoon) and be pelted with snow again! Only lasted a few minutes though… *sigh*

.

On another note, had a hair cut today at last! Lopped off quite a lot of it. Nearly all my dyed bits are gone now~ Back to healthy hair. Front fringes mid nose/mouth length… so unable to hook up behind my ears again…. back to puffing on hair while I try to eat without chewing it in the process, or with it covering my eyes everytime I look slightly downwards…..

Note to self: Must buy hair clip as soon as possible….
